I warmly welcome you to the European Youth Team Chess Championship 2018 in Bad Blankenburg!

Around 200 young chess players from all over Europe have come here to us in Thuringia to measure themselves at the “royal game”, as the game of chess is also known. This is the first time that the European Youth Team Championship takes place in Germany. I am especially delighted that it was possible to bring this German premiere to our Thuringian State Sport School in Bad Blankenburg. I am certain that Bad Blankenburg and the Thuringian State Sport School will be excellent hosts, and that they will do everything to ensure that the chess talent of around twenty European countries will feel welcome and at home.

Accomodation and Board will be provided at the Landessportschule Bad Blankenburg.
The Landessportschule Bad Blankenburg is one of the famous house for sport in this part of Germany.
The Landessportschule Bad Blankenburg is very attractive for such an event. It is located in a natural, mountainous area of Germany and the biggest sport- and convention center in Thüringen with 15 hectare ground for sport fields, a total of 3.500 m² for sport halls and 20 rooms for different seminars.

The Landessportschule offers a lot of surrounding conditions like football, Fitness, Sauna, a center of regeneration and a Championspub.

All rooms are modern furnished.
